Therapy sessions are focused on you.
Your time. Your pace. Your process.
Talking about whatever is troubling you in an accepting and safe space will help you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Together, we will work towards making changes that will help you feel less distressed and empower you to take control of your life.
I offer one-to-one counselling sessions (1-hour) from my therapy room which is conveniently situated in Oswestry town centre. However, counselling sessions via zoom video call are available if this is preferable to you. Counselling sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis (regrettably, I do not offer fortnightly or monthly appointments).
Daytime and a limited number of evening sessions are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
what to expect
During a free 30-minute consultation we will discuss any specific issues you want to address and what you would like to gain from therapy. This also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. However, you are under no obligation to continue with therapy at this point - it needs to feel right for you. If you are happy to commence sessions, we will agree a weekly appointment time.
More detail about how I work with clients can be found here.
During our first session, we will work through an initial assessment and counselling agreement which will help us to plan our work together effectively. From then on, we will use the time to talk about whatever you would like to bring to the sessions. You will not be committed to a fixed number of sessions; how long we work together is up to you, and you can bring the therapy to an end at any point. From time to time we will review how things are going and discuss any changes we need to make to ensure you get the most from counselling.
