Engaging and educating people for better emotional health.

In the last three years, the likelihood of young people having a mental health problem has increased by 50% and it is reported that half of adult mental health problems started by the age of 14 (Children's Society). It's estimated that 70 million work days are lost because of absences due to mental health problems (Mental Health Foundation).

 

Fortunately, awareness of mental health issues and our understanding of how best to support people is improving. 

So, what are some of the benefits of group learning?

The peer support that is developed helps group members to feel connected and less alone; nurturing a valuable sense of belonging

Boosts social confidence and the ability to express feelings and opinions

Hearing other group members’ experiences gives people ‘permission’ to talk about their own challenges

Learning from others' experiences and gaining new and helpful perspectives 

An accepting and understanding group environment encourages participants to become more accepting of themselves as well as develop empathy towards other people

I offer a wide range of psychotherapeutic workshops and short courses on a variety of topics. My aim is to educate and support children, young people, staff, and community groups. As an experienced group facilitator, my programmes are interactive, engaging, interesting, and impactful. I will work closely with you to ensure I thoroughly understand your requirements and adapt the programmes accordingly.

workshops

I offer a range of mental health and emotional wellbeing workshops suitable for schools, colleges, the workplace, and community groups. Workshops last for 2 hours (including a short break) from your location and can be tailored to the specific needs of your organisation. Currently available workshops:

  • Managing stress and anxiety

  • Avoiding burnout: wellbeing in the workplace

  • Supporting your teenager's mental health (for parents)

  • Mindfulness

  • Exam stress

courses

Courses are run for 2 hours, once a week over the course of 4 weeks from your location and can address a variety of issues tailored to your needs. Currently available courses:
